IOWA -5.5 over Arizona State

Arizona State has been decent at best against two extremely weak teams at home. This evening, they go on the road and try to win a game in a very tough place to play as a visiting team. The line has moved all the way down to 5.5 now, and everyone seems to be betting on Arizona State. To me, this is an easy contrarion/common sense play to the other side. I am laying the 5.5 and taking the Hawkeyes in this one.

Miami Ohio is creaming Colorado State at Colorado State. Iowa held Miami Ohio to a mere 3 points, winning by a score of 21-3 on August 30th. Colorado State meanwhile, eked out a victory on the road against California, who beat Illinois at Illinois today. Colo State isnt a bad team, and they are getting whipped at home by an opponent who was manhandled by the Hawkeyes. This is confusing I know, but if u really break it down, Iowa has performed at a much higher level this year, given the opponents both have played. Good luck to all...but the more I look at this, the stronger I feel about taking Iowa-5.5. Am considering upping to 5 units from 3.

I agree with what you stated in your first post, Iowa is a great contrarian play today. I generally try to stay away with the point you were making in the second, especially early in the season. I do believe Iowa is the better team today, especially at home. Good Luck!

guys............regardless of who wins, from what ive read everyone seems to think iowa was a contrarian play....................must be right??? cause the line is moving down to 5' (actually by gt it was back to 6' and 7)

yes its true that several touts released asu.....those people got asu at 6' and 6 ...........

MAJORITY OF PUBLIC MONEY WAS BET ON IOWA......thats what drove the line back up
